Transcription Plus, LLC Hiring for REMOTE Transcriptionist/Minute Taker Legal/Govt/Business Ind/Subcontractor at Remote Full Time

Transcription Plus, LLC, was founded in 1989 to provide prompt, quality office support to the professional community. Our capable staff consists of experienced transcriptionists and minute takers qualified in numerous legal, business, and government disciplines.

We currently have part time (15-32 hours/week) and full time (32+ hours/week) subcontractor positions available at a starting rate of $14/hour. Days/hours arranged to fit your schedule.

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent
• Must be a verifiable United States citizen and live within the USA
• Excellent verbal, written, grammatical, punctuation, and proofreading skills
• Must be a trained transcriptionist able to transcribe non-medical dictation (legal, government, business, academic)
• Experience producing summary minutes not required but will be necessary to learn this skill
• Must sign confidentiality agreement
• Must comply with clients’ regulations, policy, and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe legal, government, business and/or academic dictation with absolute accuracy
• Produce summary minutes of city and town committee meetings from video or audio recordings
• High degree of familiarity with grammar, spelling, and sentence structure
• Provide digital copies of transcribed documents/transcripts
• Re-listen to audio files while proofreading transcribed transcripts
• Effectively, skillfully, and efficiently operate designated word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment as directed to complete assignments
• Follow policies and procedures, seeking assistance and clarification to resolve problems
• Expand job-related knowledge and skills to improve performance and adjust to change
• Maintain personal computer equipment and/or software, which can include word processing and computer software, references, and other technologies
• Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations

NOTE: Transcription of non-medical (legal/business/government) documents are a requirement for all transcriptionists.
