The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Benchmarking Consultant to be based in our Wellington, New Zealand office. This role is a critical customer-facing role responsible for delivering our Performance Benchmarking product to our clients. 

Tribal provides strategic consultancy through benchmarking services to the education sector in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Our assessments involve comparing income, staffing, costs, and space with good practice and benchmarking student performance.

This analysis provides our clients with an objective base to plan investment decisions and develop future strategies. 

Key responsibilities include:

• In this role, you will be responsible for managing several benchmarking projects simultaneously – setting your own timeframes and prioritising workloads.
• You will be required to collate and manipulate data using Excel and present your findings to clients (large and small audiences) using PowerPoint and written reports.
• Maintain accurate records, using internal management systems for project costs and expenses
• Whilst not a sales role, you will be required to report sales opportunities from clients to senior consultants and support the selling of other services where possible and appropriate to clients

What skills and experience can I bring to the role?

We are looking for a person of graduate calibre in commerce or education with professional experience. You should be highly numerate and analytical, with a logical approach to problem-solving.

Excellent organisation, time management, and customer-facing skills are a must, and you will be a motivated self-starter used to working to deadlines. You will also have strong written skills with the ability to produce accurate reports. 

This will be balanced by strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone/Skype. You must be comfortable working as part of a team and quickly build productive rapport with staff and clients at all levels.

You will also need a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, preferably good or advanced in Excel, and be able to travel extensively.

Previous experience of delivering presentations is desirable, as is the experience of working in a tertiary education environment.
