About the Role:
 

We’re looking for a talented UX Designer. Reporting to the UX Manager and working closely with the Marketing, Product and Digital teams, you will be responsible for providing UX design for a global e-commerce travel brand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advocate user-centred design practices throughout the broader organisation. Be the voice of the customer, dedicated to delivering effortless customer experiences across channels and touchpoints. 
• Conceptualise and create brand-consistent, easy-to-use, accessible designs for a variety of products and services.
• Execute UX methodologies throughout the design process
• Build interactive prototypes to test key interactions via user research. 
• Work with the wider agile team to inform design decisions using data and customer insights. 
• Guide our in-house developers with the implementation of designs into technical builds.
• Assist with wider company projects and tasks as needed on an ad hoc basis. 

About You:
 

You’ll have:

• At least 5 years’ experience in user interface design, information architecture, usability testing, customer research, preferably in travel, tourism and/or a primarily eCommerce-driven business.
• A relevant qualification in design or another related field, and a portfolio that clearly communicates your design contribution to mobile and desktop applications for consumer facing products.
• Understanding of atomic design principles and experience working with a design system.
• Demonstrated experience with designing responsive (multi-device) designs using a mobile-first approach. 
• Solid knowledge of usability principles as they apply to user interface design. 
• Expert knowledge of visual design and prototyping software (we use Figma).
• A passion for customer research, interaction and visual design, actively seeking to grow your skills and knowledge and better your craft.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and natural curiosity and desire to probe further into the why.
• A self-starter and proactive team member.
