The Principal Investigator of The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) is seeking to appoint an experienced academic research assistant to manage and support the academic interests the Principal Investigator and the wider TILDA team. This post arises from maternity leave cover and the role is both dynamic and has a diverse range of responsibilities. The post will be responsible for managing the diary of TILDA Principal Investigator and will have primary responsibility of all academic activity and interaction with College and external stakeholders. The post will be ideally suited to someone with strong administrative skills with an academic background, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, a self-starter with the ability to solve problems efficiently and independently and will be expected to acquire a basic understanding of TILDA’s research areas. This person will join a vibrant inter-disciplinary team including researchers, clinicians and administrative members all working toward the promotion of successful ageing. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on the largest study on ageing ever carried out in Ireland.
