Trogon Looking for Bottle Store Retail Assistant / Duty Manager at Masterton, Wellington Full Time

Super Liquor Masterton is currently looking for an experienced Retail Assistant, Duty manager to assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store. We are looking for a self-motivated person who can go a few extra miles to grow the business.

To be successful you will need to have:

• Proven customer service and sales experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be relatively fit, as the role is physical 
• LCQ (Would be an advantage)
• General Managers Certificate (Would be an advantage)
• References essential
• Must be over 20 years old
• Full Driver License
• Forklift License (Preferred)
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Ability to do Weekend work/Public Holiday work and some split shifts.
• Ability to lift heavy loads if required.

The role will require you to work as per Roster, evenings, and weekends in a multi-faceted retail environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Managing stock levels product mix and pricing, including implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, stock discounting and clearance.
• Developing and maintaining a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers.
• Looking for opportunities to improve procedures and make improvements where appropriate, particularly purchasing and marketing policies and service standards.
• Developing effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.
• Promoting and advertising the store’s goods and services.
• Selling goods to customers, advising and recommending products and on products.
• Sales and delivery of business accounts
• Following up on customer complaints/comments quickly.
• Maintaining records of financial transactions, daily cash reconciliation, petty cash and banking.
• Answering phones promptly.
• Fulfilling online orders
• Store Cleaning

From time to time, the employee can be asked to perform any other duties required within the business’s scope.
