POSITION: 30 + hours – Full Time -Patient Concierge

LOCATION: Tru-Skin Dermatology- Hallettsville: Surrounding Clinics Austin, Cedar Park, Bee Cave, Bulverde, Bastrop, La Grange, and Round Rock

REPORTS TO: Clinical Manager

COMPENSATION: starting at $16.00hr

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• No visible tattoos or facial piercings
• Must be able to multitask for all locations in:
• Scheduling
• answer phones
• check-in patients (in the location you service)
• Software- outlook, 8×8, EMA, Klara etc.
• Must have reliable & own transportation
• Required to travel to multiple locations if needed
• Must have great attendance

JOB SUMMARY: This position will be stationed at our Hallettsville clinic. The candidate hired will need to travel on occasion to alternate locations depending on the clinic’s needs.

The preferred candidate will provide a friendly and efficient patient experience when patients visit our practice. Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival and making patients feel welcome to the practice. This includes performing all general receptionist duties, scheduling patients, preparing and maintaining current patient information, answering phones, verifying all insurance information, and performing general office duties.

Responsible for checking in/out all patients and collection of payments. Has the ability to explain all charges and insurance to patients. Ensures all patient interaction is done in a professional, accurate, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude to work well with others in a team setting and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Some travel may be required to other offices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school or GED
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Proficiency in computer software use, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR preferred
• (2) years of clinical front desk experience preferred
• Dermatology experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients at check-in, in a pleasant and professional manner
• Answers phones promptly & professionally w phone etiquette
• Enters all new patient demographic information
• Promptly and efficiently prepare labels, charts, miscellaneous correspondence, medical records requests, route faxed documents, etc
• Enter and/or verifies chart information is correct and up to date
• Enters and verifies patient identification and insurance cards are correct
• Maintains organized patient files
• Assists patients during check-out, i.e., scheduling next appointment, completing the superbill, accepting payment, etc
• Collects payments at check-out
• Reschedule patients as needed
• Calls patients to remind them of following day’s appointments or notifies them of missed appointments
• Compiles new patient information packages
• Reviews, copies, and distributes correspondence
• Verification of benefits with insurance
• Handle incoming referrals
• Maintains proper office opening and closing procedures
• Keeps inventory of clerical supplies and reorders as necessary
• Keeps office clean and orderly
• Some travel may be required
• Alternate duties may be assigned
