As a Payroll Clerk at Tutor Perini Corp, reporting to Vice President of Operations, you will have the opportunity to:

• Ensure the timely processing of weekly payroll for union employees
• Prepare payroll weekly compliance reports for this project, including Certified Payrolls in LCP Tracker.
• Complete understanding of payroll transaction rules in JD Edwards.
• Understand and communicate the account coding for payroll transactions, including payroll accruals.
• New hire onboarding for construction union hires, including safety and project orientation.
• Prepare all new hire paperwork for entry into HR data system submission.
• Owner controlled insurance program (OCIP) credit calculations for general liability and workers compensation insurance on the Project.
• Interact with Payroll, Corporate Accounting, and Division Finance personnel.
• Meet weekly payroll deadlines.
• Correcting of payments, applying adjustments, and researching errors in system when payment is incorrect or missing.
• Scanning, copying, and filing of Project records and reports.
• Responsible for the confidential administration of employee information.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years or more of experience processing weekly payroll for union employees in construction and general office administration.
• Experience with Certified Payroll in LCP Tracker.
• Working knowledge of general office procedures, MS Office, scanning, copying, filing, and phone experience.
