First things first! What is Twinkl? What is Twinkl’s mission?
Twinkl is here to “help those who teach.” It’s what brings us to work every day. We’re proud to create educational resources that can be used at each step of a child’s learning journey.
Our award-winning resource collection – created by teachers for teachers – provides unlimited supplementary digital and printable teaching resources at an unbeatable value.
We have over a million resources, and new content is added every day. Don’t see what you need? Just ask! We make bespoke resources for our members as part of our world-class customer service promise to help those who teach.
We support educators and children across Chile and around the world, and we’re committed to transforming lives through education.
Whoever you are, whatever you teach, Twinkl is here for you!
The Role:
PlanIt is part of the wider Twinkl product in an established New Zealand market. PlanIt is written specifically to provide sequential, fully planned and developed units of learning that closely align with the New Zealand curriculum. Each lesson pack provides solid building blocks to develop knowledge, skills and concepts so that any teacher can teach with confidence.
You’ll be working alongside other passionate professionals working flexibly to write content for Twinkl’s PlanIt Maths product.
You will be creating new PlanIt Maths resources and sometimes adapting existing Twinkl resources, for primary-aged children that inspire learning, helping us to deliver high-quality materials to children and teachers in New Zealand. These resources will include PowerPoints, display materials, differentiated follow-up activities, activity sheets, assessments and lesson plans.
Using your recent teaching experience and up-to-date knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum (both the old and refreshed maths curriculums), you will ensure that resources are innovative, accurate, well-written, suitable for the target year group and that the materials provide the correct levels of challenge and support.
You’ll be a fantastic communicator, working collaboratively in agile development teams, which include other Content Writers, Content Editors, Graphic Designers and Illustrators.
This role is a work-from-home, flexible position, and working hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments. Meetings can be conducted online via Google Meet.
