Summary About the Position: This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project located within the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Logistics Management Office (LMO). Responsibilities Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for property accountability, shipping, and fleet management. Coordinate and collaborate with outside agencies and internal Staff elements to include: Contracting, Resource Management, Department of Public Works, Security, Safety and Logistics. Monitor maintenance management of fleet, weapons and research equipment; schedule preventive maintenance services and coordinate unscheduled repairs for the assigned fleet and weapons. Serve as a government credit card holder to research supply purchases and reconcile charges with purchase receipts. Assist with property accountability process (acquisition, property book, inventories, disposal). Bill customers for vehicle usage and obtain invoices to reconcile and process for payment. Coordinate receiving property and the processing and scheduling of freight shipments. Conduct routine and monthly vehicle inspections before and after use. Maintain files and ensure destruction and/or retirement of records/files. To qualify at the DJ-02 grade level or equivalency, your resume must describe experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the DJ-1 (GS-04) grade level, which includes analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing in the performing work related to acquiring, storing and/or transporting resources. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
