- Performs feasibility studies and analyzes information requirements in order to develop or modify new and improved automated information systems to meet user requirements.
- Performs in-depth analysis of automated and manual systems to accomplish design assignments, and prepares programming specifications.
- Prepares implementation plans and participates in the execution of the formal conversion plan in accordance with the specified implementation strategy.
- Monitors data conversion, develop and executes procedures to periodically monitor the logical/physical integrity of data.
- Provides formal and informal training services to functional analysts, other computer specialists, and end-users.
- Presents training material on software applications such as operating system architecture, system generation alternatives, configuration alternatives, data file management, system utility capabilities, standards and procedures, and configuration.
- Ensures that inquiries and problems concerning end-user computer hardware and software are expeditiously resolved.
