- Develop and implement programs to ensure that systems, networks, and data users are aware of, understand and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of both planned and operational information systems, to identify vulnerabilities, risk, and protect needs, and apply corrective measures and document results.
- Research findings, recommendations, implement policies and procedures, identify information requirements, and develop plans.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must submit to a CI polygraph exam within six months of appointment, receive, and be able to maintain a favorable CI polygraph exam result.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel will be required (CONUS) approximately 10% of the time, as well as frequently extended duty with long hours under high pressure and generally high-risk job responsibilities.
- *All INSCOM staff may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Must obtain the required certification for this position within six months of appointment as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program. *For more information, please see “Additional Information” below.
