About The Role
The US&C Mobility Consumer Operations & New Verticals team is looking for several highly analytical, motivated, and organized individuals to join our team. The teams you would be joining are at the forefront of our mobility business and are responsible for driving our growth forward!
The US&C Consumer Growth & Access team is on a mission to fuel the growth of our long term Annual Active Rider base, through market expansion (through segments like Teens, Older Adults, Families), increasing awareness and consideration of Uber as the #1 mode of transportation for all use cases (through Desktop, SEO/SEM, Performance marketing) and re-engaging long lapsed users through personalized efforts. As a Strategic Operations Associate on this team, you will help us achieve our goals of driving Rider acquisitions by developing reports and tools to expose analytical insights, work cross-functionally to drive performance, as well as own some of our most challenging strategic projects/initiatives (Web, SEO, SEM strategy).
The Consumer Experience operations team focuses on driving best in class conversion and long-term rider engagement for our mobility customers in US & Canada. In this Strategic Operations Manager role, you will assist in developing and executing on our consumer experience strategy. You will curate insights and develop strategies on consumer experience improvements throughout the funnel using your analytics skills and business insight. Then, in collaboration with partners across Operations, CommOps, Product, Marketing, Legal, Support, and Finance, you will put those strategies to work through experiments, pilots, and full-scale processes.
A critical aspect of our growth strategy involves reaching consumers wherever they may be with relevant products, offers, and experiences to position Uber as a daily use case. As the Consumer Engagement team, we are responsible for driving this strategy across rider incentives, membership, partnerships, and more! The Consumer Engagement role will focus on the strategy and management of our membership program with an emphasis on how members engage with our mobility services.
What You Will Do
Analyze Data – Identify trends and build meaningful recommendations, especially with respect to SEO/SEM
Build Reports – To help our team make better, faster decisions and identify opportunities.
Generate Insights – Based on the analysis, research, customer needs, feedback, and comments from teams.
Observe and Reflect – As a critical problem solver, observe and understand current operations, processes, and trends. Ask the right questions, and call out the risks and opportunities.
Lead Projects – Lead & execute meaningful projects that drive the business forward.
Be comfortable with ambiguity – many of the initiatives will be on new and generally untapped parts of the business
Work Cross-Functionally – across Performance Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Legal
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of professional work experience
Proficient in SQL, Excel / Google Sheets, Google slides
Strong data manipulation skills
Preferred Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in strategy, operations, or project/program management
Analytical – You love SQL and consider yourself to be an expert in Excel/Google Sheets.
Problem Solver – Experience problem solving and proposing unique solutions to complex issues.
Communication – Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a diverse audience.
Team Player – Collaborates and communicates effectively with stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines.
Motivated – Self-motivated, solutions-orientated, with a bias for action.
Ambiguity – Comfortable with ambiguity and competing timelines.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$88,000 per year – USD$98,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$98,000 per year – USD$109,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$98,000 per year – USD$109,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$88,000 per year – USD$98,000 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$98,000 per year – USD$109,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
