About The Role

As our Café Development Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind expanding our Robert Harris café network, steering us towards our ambitious goal of becoming New Zealand’s #1 café franchise. You’ll report directly into our General Manager who has a clear vision for the Robert Harris franchise and will be supporting and challenging you all the way.

Your Focus Encompasses Three Pivotal Areas

• Site Procurement & Management: Drive our site strategy, forging solid relationships with current franchisees, real estate agents, business brokers, and developers. Champion the conversion of established cafes to Robert Harris, managing the brand transition and exploring multi-site opportunities. Oversee leases, project new cafes/conversions, and negotiate key supplier deals.
• Attracting Quality Franchisees: Partner with our internal recruitment team to attract, source and place potential franchisees to expand our network. Foster relationships, build and maintain a strong talent pipeline, and engage in strategies for franchisee acquisition.
• Driving Innovation: Partner with our Franchise Operations Manager and team to explore new café concepts like kiosks, carts, and fresh store footprints, aligning with our strategic vision for growth and evolution.

About You

Fundamental to your success are skills in relationship-building, thought leadership, an understanding of franchise dynamics, resilience, financial acumen, conceptual thinking, project management expertise, negotiation expertise, and adaptability to macroeconomic intricacies. Your keen appetite for learning, a commercial perspective, and an innate knack for catalysing growth are the foundation of your profile. You’ll lean into navigating challenges, driving improvements, and translating our overarching vision into actionable, impactful strategies and results.

The package includes: base salary, car and incentive which can be discussed in more detail as we shortlist.
