The Opportunity

Do you love machines, are great with tools and love coffee?

UCC Coffee is looking for a Technical Lead to join our team based at our Allens Road, Roastery and Workshop. This role will be able to diagnose, repair and service commercial and domestic coffee machinery, in-house and out in the field. You’ll also assist in the safe, efficient and harmonious running of all facets of a workshop.

We Are After Someone Who

• Has the ability to deliver to expectations, great time-management skills and a high level of accuracy when it comes to record-keeping.
• Is able to support with equipment training both internally, and externally with our contractors.
• Can effectively communicate with our customers, internal teams and contractors, providing the highest standard of technical support.
• Ideally has experience working with our range of imported coffee equipment and spare parts.
• Is able to lead the research, assessment and communication with manufacturer’s to ensure new machine launches are fit for purpose
• Can effectively manage supplier relationships to provide priority support and grow our relationships
• Has a natural aptitude to get to the bottom of a puzzling fault – the ability to work through an issue through a process of elimination and tracing the symptoms back with knowledge of the knock-on effects of a variety of possible fault causes
• Has an Electrical Service Technician licence
• Has an understanding of electrical and electronics fundamentals
• Has a full, clean driver licence

The Hours

This is a full-time position (40 hours) working Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. As with any service jobs sometimes service calls fall outside of normal working hours so you will need to have some flexibility.

You will also be required to be on a call out roster – approximately one weekend every three weeks, which will be paid as an on-call allowance.
