UCLA Health Hiring for Business Intelligence Analyst at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

UCLA Health Patient Navigation and Business Services is seeking to hire a full-time Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Business Services team. You will work to meet the aims and goals of the department’s projects. Primary duties include:

Analyzing complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision makers

Working with business and clinical units to gather, understand, and prioritize data and reporting needs for complex business intelligence solutions and analytics

Using data mining and quality monitoring to extract information, identify and interpret trends and patterns from datasets to inform business and operational decisions

Writing queries, developing report templates and dashboards based on business needs and required/available data elements

Developing forecasts based on business data, market research, and industry bench-marking

Identifying and recommend data-driven process improvements and solutions

Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs

Preparing reports and presenting to management or clients

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the field of business administration, finance, information systems, public health, or related field

Master’s degree preferred (MHA, MBA, or equivalent) strongly preferred

At least five (5) years of experience working in strategy or analytics

2 years of healthcare related experience preferred

Working experience with Tableau is strongly preferred

Working experience with Salesforce preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of at least one commonly used statistical software preferred

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

Knowledge of database design and management principles

Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Keen attention to detail

Highly self-motivated and directed, with ability to prioritize

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
