The Ultimate Care Group is a privately owned Specialist Residential Aged Care Services Provider. We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand.

We have a permanent part time opportunity (minimum 15 hours per week) for an experienced Cook and Kitchen Hand at our Rose Lodge Facility, which is a boutique retirement home near the center of Invercargill which offers independent villas, rest home and hospital level care.

Looking out to beautiful rose gardens, Rose Lodge has a team, who are on-hand to help with residents and their families.

As an important member of our team you will be responsible for cooking and assisting with the day-to-day tasks of the on-site, commercial kitchen to ensure that all nutritional requirements are met. You will be providing nutritious and attractive meals to our residents.

About the Role:

• Weekend Cook Shifts available
• Weekend Kitchen Hand Shifts available
• Assisting and preparation of food and meals to a high standard
• Ensuring excellent food hygiene practice at all times
• Work unsupervised and cope with fast paced environment
• Cleaning up food preparation areas and kitchens
• Operating the dishwasher
• Handling food deliveries

About You:

• Savvy knowledge of food prep and safety
• Knowledge of food safety standards (167/168)
• Experience in a commercial setting
• Dedicated and reliable
• Caring nature and passionate about working with the elderly
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
