The Banking Solutions group falls under the Enterprise Technology organization and is comprised of multiple teams focusing on various programs supporting the company. These programs include Payments, Deposits, Loans, and Cards. With respect to these programs, this group provides strategic success and optimized operations the support corporate objectives for UMB and its clients.
As the IT Manager of Payments Solutions, you will lead the Wires Payments team and work with many business partners. You will partner with the Banking Solution group in the development of our ongoing payments strategy including new channels and execution of its long-range plans. Leadership responsibilities also include providing optimized operations that are highly available, scalable, and reliable to UMB and its customers.
The Banking Solutions group is comprised of IT leaders, project managers, architects, software engineers, and analysts coming from diverse background and experiences. We share a strong commitment to ensure our enterprise-level systems are performing at peak capacity and we believe in fully supporting each other to achieve this goal. Trust and open communication are the cornerstones of how we roll, and we have plenty of fun while doing it! How you’ll spend your time:
Focusing on associate management and development while providing coaching (listening and providing timely feedback) and setting challenging yet attainable goals for associates.
Participating in the budget process and maintaining a budgetary awareness.
Managing projects and work efforts to a System Delivery Life Cycle process (SDLC).
Gaining understanding of the risk and impact to the business and recommending risk mitigation strategies and options for the business to consider.
Maintaining strong relationships with business partners including demonstrating understanding of the business and serving as the technology expert, participating in business meetings, including articulating business value of technology solutions to business partners.
We’re excited to talk with you if:
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, at least 3 years of IT work experience, and at least 3 years of management, supervisory or team lead experience.
You have in-depth knowledge and experience in Payments application delivery & support (i.e. ACH, Wires, Immediate Payments).
You have the understanding how to drive business outcomes via technology.
You have banking or financial services industry experience.

The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is typically $87,570 to $162,540 annually. The selected candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay for the selected candidate may be above or below this range. The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in one or more incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
