Summary:
This position is responsible for greeting patients, visitors, and employees at points of entry and ensure compliance with UNC Health’s screening process.

Responsibilities:
Welcome and screen employees, visitors and staff using a health and travel history declaration form/questionnaire

Operate infra-red thermometer or other assigned instrument to obtain a temperature reading of all individuals entering the facility according to the manufacturer’s instructions and CDC guidance for personal protection. Follow CDC guidelines to determine if an individual is clear to enter the facility

Monitor the flow of people entering the building to ensure appropriated distancing between individuals in accord with the social distancing guidelines posted leading up to and/or posted at the building entry.

Provide additional information to employees, patients or visitors once responses have been documented

Put on (don) and remove (doff) personal protective equipment (PPE) per company protocol as required

Ensure individuals maintain appropriate social distancing of 6 feet as recommended by the CDC during the health screening process. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
