SUMMARY: Participates in the daily activities and operations of the Nashville Distribution House. Under department supervisor direction, responsible for perform the clerical tasks associated with keeping on track the daily operations for the assigned work area. Performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, lift truck operation and/or manual tasks, QA and compliance tasks associated with the operation of the distribution house.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures the maintenance of a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Assists the department manager/supervisor and teammates in achieving goals of the department.
Facilitate the reconciliation of each bill and reviews it for overages, shortages, or damages.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Communicate immediately and work to resolution with vendor to correct any discrepancies. Appointment clerk
Schedule deliveries for the inbound/outbound yards, receive BOLs, and ensure accuracy of what is arriving on the yard.
Ensure vendor offset and compliance of deliveries and materials.
Ensures accurate, timely delivery, and quality of all orders.
Must be able to perform other warehouse functions as directed.
Retrieve and place merchandise in trailers, pallet locations, and pallet racks.
Assists with the development of efficient space planning for storage areas. Utilizes hand-held computers to receive daily tasks.
To be consistently at work and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
