Job Description:

Reports to the Director Health Services and is responsible for all nursing clerks at Polk St. nursing stations and satellite clinics. The primary responsibilities include: scheduling of clerical staff in the department and workflow of the administrative staff at each of the nursing stations and satellites while working in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor and physicians. Guided by the department policy and procedures, the Clerical Nursing Supervisor will lead by example to oversee day-to-day operations of the department to maximize the efficiency of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Visible leader and is responsive to employees and UHS members
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, Director of Health Services, Medical Management and Outpatient Referrals in development and maintenance of day-to-day operational policy and procedures.
• Assist in management and resolution of employee and department safety and risk management issues
• Identify and assist with implementation of procedures for staff
• Assure compliance with UHS policies and procedures that are applicable to the department
• Assure orientation/cross-training is provided to support each of the stations and the satellites

• Assures that each member of the department provides the best service possible to our members, physicians and support staff
• Review applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement

Qualifications:

• Five years of supervisory experience and knowledge of commonly accepted standards in an ambulatory setting is required.
• Ability to utilize customer service skills to positively impact the experience of care for our patients, staff and outside facilities
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong critical thinking skills

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
