We are currently looking for a Van Driver.
Reporting to the Transport manager, the primary objective of this position is to support the delivery service within the Retail Supply Chain division. You will also be required to work as part of the transport coordination team from time to time. This includes organizing schedules & routes, dealing with customer queries relating to any delivery failures.The role will require you to work with customers, multiple 3rd party vendors and drivers and requires excellent communication skills.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based in our Citywest depot you will be responsible for assigned collections and deliveries using a company owned van.
- Main focus will be the delivery of goods and will require the input of data onto the ePOD application.
- To ensure that the right product is delivered at the right place, at the right time.
- Monitoring customer deliveries on the transport tracking system, and issue daily and weekly KPI’s ensuring all targets are maintained.
- Develop an expertise on each of the systems applications that are critical in the day-to-day running of the business.
- Manage and communicate effectively with sub-contractors, ensuring all transport is planned and arranged as required in a timely manner.
