The Data Entry Product Specialist oversees the various aspects of data entry and the overall product set up & presentation on the Unique Photo website.

The Data Entry Product Specialist ensures that each product page follows a consistent look and style, and that the information for each product is displayed accurately and is easy to find.

Responsibilities:

1. Overall product information set up via web-based content management system.

a. Set up newly entered products into the system adding proper product photos, descriptions, specs, categorization, relevant warranties, and related/associated products (ie. Accessories, lenses, batteries, inks, etc.)

b. Maintain/update existing catalogue of products

c. Ensure products are easily searchable in website & optimized for Google search.

d. Research competitor websites to match product deals & setup.

e. Ensure products meet vendor specifications & fulfill any incoming set-up requests supplied by vendors.

2. Compiles a master list of all completed products.

3. Photograph products for website & Used department.

• Provide consistent photos for any product that does not have an easily sourced photo related to it.
• Make sure product condition and quality are accurately represented (especially for Used items.)

4. Coordinate with buyers to ensure new products are accurately entered and displayed within a deadline.

• Identify & prioritize product work based on high-value items.
• Meet tight product deadlines in-time for pre-order and sales dates.

5. Frequently responsible for writing copy content for product descriptions.

• Understanding of photographic & camera spec terms
• Able to transform basic given specifications into customer-friendly copy content and Search Engine Optimization.

Ideal Requirements:

• Able to keep up with repetitive work on various computer systems.
• Have working knowledge of photography equipment.
• Ability to photograph products for web using a consistent style.
• Photo editing skills a plus (Photoshop/Lightroom)
• Have basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization principles (meta descriptions, keywords, page title etc.)
• Good attention to detail and writing abilities.
• Knowledge of basic HTML a plus
