Te āheinga: The opportunity

This is a full-time permanent salaried position at 37.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our faculty as a Digital Business Lecturer, with a focus on strategy and leadership. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering courses that emphasize the critical aspects of strategy formulation, implementation, and effective leadership in the digital business sphere.

A key aspect of this role will involve staying abreast of the latest advancements in digital technologies, evolving business strategies, and leadership methodologies. Ideally, you will merge modern insights and the best practices from the industry into course content, enhancing the educational journey and learning encounters of our students.

You’ll Have

• An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
• Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
• Minimum of a Masters’ degree in a relevant area
• Experience and expertise in areas including E-Commerce, Emerging Technologies and Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategy and Leadership.
• Industry or commercial experience is an advantage
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research – including evidence of research outputs.
• Experience in the supervision of postgraduate students
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholder groups
• Commitment to treaty-based partnership
