We are looking for a Lecturer – Social Practice to join our team of experienced Social Practice educators committed to excellence in education and student success who can support our goal to be innovative and responsive to the exciting challenges of tertiary education and the Social Practice industry.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You’ll Have

• An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
• Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
• Hold a minimum of a degree in a health and wellbeing-related area.
• A current Social Work Registration Practicing certificate (preferred but not necessary to teach certificate)
• Experience in the field/Social Services
• Have active engagement and connection within the industry
• Sound teaching and course development experience within a tertiary environment.
• Have the knowledge, passion and desire to contribute to Treaty-based social practice in Aotearoa
• Have a demonstrable application of Ako and Ngāti tukana/Ngati Teina and to be part of a supportive research-active team (Research not required for a Certificate programme)
