As an airline, safety is our most important principle. Our Corporate Safety team is responsible for making sure safety is top of mind in every action we take. From conducting flight safety investigations, educating pilots on potential safety threats, implementing medical programs, and helping prevent employee injuries, our team is instrumental in running a safe and successful airline for our customers and employees.
Job overview and responsibilities
The Nurse will support the Corporate Medical Team and assist in their routine duties, including but not limited to Pilot Medical Clearances, correspondence, system documentation, research, projects, and inquiries.
Objectively and critically assessing all information related to the pilot’s eligibility to return to work
Will need to gain an understanding of pilot FAA medical certification regulations
Working with the physicians to get needed information
Contacting pilots and/or FO base management as necessary when needed to obtain additional information to support RTW and ESB
Triage and respond to medical/legal/HR inquiries
Assist with non-pilot employee medical issues as needed
Including passenger fitness to fly
Correspondence with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed
Serve as medical support/backup to the Managing Director Corporate Medical
Research on medical protocols and policies and related health topics
Provide support/back-up to the Director Corporate Medical including vendor manager back-up support for MedAire/Intl.SOS
Provide back-up support for all CDC requests-Administrative
Relief staffing for vacation and other absences
Assist with implementing strategic initiatives, contributing to policy development and execution
Arranges Fitness For Duty follow-up medical evaluations
Attending scheduled staff meetings and in-service programs
Participate in Health Fairs as needed

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of 2-4 years full time equivalent of direct clinical care/clinical practice
Registered nurse with current, valid state licensure
Computer literacy
Ability to set priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong oral and written communications skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
