Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager- Labor Relations is responsible for implementing strategic planning and day-to-day administration in labor relations. This individual will provide labor relations expertise and counsel primarily to Airport Operations, Technical Operations, and Contact Centers management, and Human Resources Business Partners, support the business objectives through administration of collective bargaining agreements, and assisting with contract negotiations, arbitrations, and providing guidance on employee discipline and grievance investigations.
Counseling senior management in establishing and maintaining programs and practices that promote and provide proven employee-management relations, including employee discipline
Providing advice, counsel, and training to managers regarding the interpretation, application, and administration of collective bargaining agreements
Responding to Union inquiries, contract interpretation/application, and dispute resolution
Preparing and participating in contract negotiations, including proposal development and strategy
Preparing and participating in grievance hearings, up through arbitration
Training development and execution for operational leadership
Evaluating and leading/assisting with effective resolution of grievances and other local conflicts resulting from labor agreements

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience dealing with national labor unions
HR, legal or labor relations experience in a union/management environment
Interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements
Demonstrated successful track record in the collective bargaining process, collective bargaining administration, grievance and arbitration processes, labor-management relations, positive employee relations and Human Resources management
Railway Labor Act
Comprehensive understanding of unions and labor environments, in addition to employment and legal principles, practices and plans
Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations relating to HR
Relationship-Building; Negotiation/Consensus Building; Strategy Development; Labor Relations; Microsoft Office Proficiency; Effective writing skills; Analytical Thinking; Communication
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
