About the role:

The Business, Analysis and Reporting (BAR) team is a key partner for the value streams across the Payer organization developing a deep understanding of the business operations and associated data in order to create and maintain the metrics, reporting, modeling and analysis needed to measure performance while driving continuous improvement. This role supports the Data Mining (DM) team. DM is responsible for identifying potential overpaid claims that need to be recovered from the providers. DM is a global team, with team members in the U.S, India, Puerto Rico and Ireland.

The Business Analysis Consultant will be a key member of the BAR team. The role will be Ireland based (Dublin or Letterkenny). The BAR team is responsible for utilizing data to maximize savings potential through strategic initiatives and implement controls to ensure accurate and timely delivery of scorecards for DM. This role will contribute to analyzing savings report gaps from monthly goals to identifying areas for improved target success as well as analyzing overall trends such as demographics and other variables that impact DM identifications.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities, execute with precision and deliver results with high accuracy and within stated time frames.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze, review, forecast and trend complex data, reviewing the analysis and interpretation of others’ work
• Conduct and present variance analyses as required each month following month-end business close, explaining all significant variances
• Support analysis and interpretation of results for operational business reviews and planning
• Monitor performance, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of major variances
• Analyze key performance indicator trends for all operational areas including P&L
• Assist in establishing operational scorecards as well as appropriate business and/or client level targets based on analysis
• Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research & analysis of data & business processes
• Produce financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Develop, support, and present ad-hoc client and operational reports
• Develops innovative approaches to achieve deliverables
• Support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities through analysis
• Develops and documents complex business analysis and reporting requirements
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field or 8+ years of directly applicable Business / Financial Analysis experience
• Extensive experience as a Business, Data, or Finance Analyst
• Experience developing in Business Intelligence / Visualization software (preferably Tableau or Power BI)
• Experience in analyzing business processes and workflows, and providing evaluations and benchmarks
• Experience in documenting business processes and generating creative solutioning
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Tableau
• Fast learner, analytical thinker, very detail oriented
• Excellent ability to communicate analyses including trends and opportunities to clients and the business both verbally and in writing
• Ability to effectively and accurately manage a complex system of daily, weekly, monthly quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables as required by internal stakeholders and external business customers.
• The ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Dublin office is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related areas; MBA (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience in healthcare Industry
• Advanced Tableau, Alteryx, or equivalent tool experience and aptitude for learning new systems
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

• Highly motivated, Creative and Innovative thinker

• Demonstrated ability to work with team members in a hands-on capacity
