This position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This position uses a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote work from home. You will have the flexibility to work from home as well as our office located at 2 Huntington Quadrangle, Melville, NY 11747.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with the Financial Services Team and the Contact Center
• Processing Payment files and analyzing audit reports
• Working within spreadsheets, entering information
• Requesting, Printing and Processing Itemized Bills
• Processing Return mail and updating new addresses as provided
• Printing and Mailing Patient Letters
• Ability to run mailroom equipment (inserter machine, postal scale and meter)
• Running and pulling reports
• Analyzing accounts for various requests and account resolution
• Receiving, Processing and Sending correspondence (internally and interoffice)
• Working within a team environment

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• 1+ years of experience in administrative or clerical role
• Data entry experience and ability to handle heavy data entry requests daily
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Windows PC experience and the ability to learn new complex computer software systems easily
• Experience working within a healthcare or medical record environment, including but not limited to Protected Health Information (PHI) or Health Information Management (HIM)
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and guidelines
• Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, full – time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM EST
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. • Reside within commutable distance in 2 Huntington Quadrangle, Melville, NY 11747
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Frequent sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
• Utilize multiple PC applications throughout the day
