We have an opportunity for a Demand Senior Workforce Manager to work with our Workforce Effectiveness team to maintain and execute on the Workforce Vision of “Enabling UnitedHealth Group contact centers to become a Competitive Advantage for our company.”
As a Demand Senior Workforce Manager, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. As part of this elite team, you will be empowered to impact the health care system through the analysis and interpretation of data and presenting recommendations for business solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a team of demand senior planners/planners (across multiple locations) in support of operational business units, finance partners, and key stakeholders throughout the organization
Collaborate with key stakeholder in the development of the budgetary strategy to drive high judgment decisions
Create statistical model in collaboration with other workforce, operations, and financial teams/inputs by utilizing business intelligence and strategies to drive success throughout every layer of workforce management
Define key drivers and assumptions looking out 6 months to 5 years and then generate, communicate, and deliver fiscally responsible staffing recommendations
Drive Forecasting accuracy and measurable efficiencies
Find creative solutions to complex problems through data management and analytics
Present and explain complex staffing requirements, in common language, to senior leadership and gain support
Lead innovative, metric driven processes/projects to drive excellence
Cultivate a culture of root cause analysis, with a focus on removing variation from the system and removing defects from processes
Communicate strategic plans, trends and volume expectations for internal and vendor populations
Manage cross – functional interdependencies
Be a solid change agent and resilient to roadblocks
Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions
Make decisions autonomously with little direction to identify/solve complex problems

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in service operations center, call center or Workforce Management
3+ years of experience with Workforce Management software (such as IEX, Aspect, Workforce Management IEX, Blue Pumpkin)
2+ years of experience in goal creation and building high performance work teams
2+ years of experience leading or managing projects
2+ years of experience driving financial plans/outcomes
2+ years of experience of setting expectations and managing vendor (on and offshore) partnerships
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working in systems administration or reporting
Advanced understanding of Excel/Tableau/SQL
Understanding of call center systems telecom hardware (PBX, ACD, IVR), call software tools and/or programming requirements (CMS modifications, vector scripting)
Proven track record of identifying defects and process variation, and working to improve processes and reduce defects
Experience scheduling, conducting planning meetings, and managing capacity
Experience with Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean techniques
Prior health care industry experience
Ability to assess and build talent into high performing work teams
Effective coach providing feedback to direct and indirect reports that help develop talent support career development
Describe the strategic importance of workforce management’s vision inside and outside of the team
Advanced expertise in statistical modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication
Solid ability to influence/negotiate
Bias toward action
Expert analytical/problem solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues
Ability to navigate through a complex network of simultaneous projects, financial task/pressures, technical/efficiency improvements, and employee engagement.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
