Office based in Irvine, CA, role can be teleworking, responsible for supervising a team of RN Case Managers. The Supervisor directs a team responsible for medical management; assessing, planning, implementing, coaching, coordinating, and monitoring member needs along with meeting Health Plan Model of Care expectations and other compliance expectations. Supervisor will also orient and train case management staff on case management processes and provide oversight regarding performance and quality.
*This position offers a flex telecommute capacity, allowing for a partial remote capacity. Candidates must reside in Southern California
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops and implements new policies and procedures as needed
Provides input and feedback on employee performance and conducts counseling and disciplinary actions as necessary
Provides senior management with analysis of case management reports and productivity
Oversight of compliance with HealthPlan expectations of care management
Performs case management duties as necessary
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Current unrestricted CA RN license
3+ years’ experience in a clinical setting (hospital, disease management program, SNF, hospice) of which 2 are in leadership mentoring staff
Recent supervisory experience or lead role in managing case management team.
Computer proficiency; can type, toggle between multiple screens, use MS Outlook, Word and navigate in a Windows environment and learn new software applications easily.
You can perform this role in an office setting, however, may work from home.
Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained and provide positive vaccine status or have an accepted exemption.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN
Managed care experience
Familiarity with Dual Eligible population and government mandated programs
CCM
Experience using MS Excel to analyze and extract data for reporting purposes
