About the Role

As a Security Analyst, you will partner with the application and compliance teams to aid in the design of system-level security architectures, processes, and documentation necessary to assure appropriate access to and security of the sensitive information of the organisation.

You will be joining our Epic application team, part of our Optum Enterprise Epic Services (OEES) group headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. We’re growing our newest Centre of Excellence in Letterkenny, Ireland, which is bringing together some of the greatest minds in the industry to further our mission of making the health system work better for everyone. The team are building an innovative and comprehensive electronic healthcare records services capability using the collective expertise of our clinical, consulting, delivery, technology, and operations teams. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide application security levels and user roles, and establish ownership of each particular security class
• Assist in the coordination of security template and role updates following the security change control process
• Provide access to third party applications in accordance with system policies and procedures
• Work with application and compliance teams to design system‐level access
• Create and maintain provider records
• Understand the Epic software security structures, including user profiles, roles, and security classes
• Assist in the design and documentation of the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications
• Provide technical consultation including configuration
• Review, analyse, and evaluate systems needs to develop recommendations for customers
• Collaborate to develop, support, and maintain all required system design and build documents and other system documentation
• Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate
• Provide support for application incidents reported through the help desk
• Adhere to organisation standards for system configuration and change control

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant degree required (e.g., Associate, Bachelor, Master’s) or security experience in the healthcare industry
• Clear understanding of security concepts, confidentiality, and data security
• Ability to complete and maintain an Epic Security certification (training provided)
• Experience in a technical/analytical function
• Ability to work a portion of monthly work hours from our Letterkenny office is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active/current Epic certification in Security
• Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
• Healthcare domain knowledge such as patient flow, scheduling, registration, authorisation, or eligibility or other support functions in a healthcare organisation
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
