This Senior Data Entry Clerk position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST.. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends. Our office is located at 2 Huntington Quadrangle Melville, NY. We offer 4 to 5 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with the Financial Services Team and the Contact Center
• Processing Payment files and analyzing audit reports
• Working within spreadsheets, entering information
• Requesting, Printing and Processing Itemized Bills
• Processing Return mail and updating new addresses as provided
• Printing and Mailing Patient Letters
• Ability to run mailroom equipment (inserter machine, postal scale and meter)
• Running and pulling reports
• Analyzing accounts for various requests and account resolution
• Receiving, Processing and Sending correspondence (internally and interoffice)
• Working within a team environment

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
• 1+ years of experience in an administrative OR clerical role
• Experience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, and saving documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, and saving spreadsheets)
• Windows PC experience and the ability to learn new complex computer software systems easily
• Ability to work any full – time (37.5 hours / week) 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST from Monday – Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need
• Ability to work onsite in 2 Huntington Quadrangle Melville, NY

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and guidelines
• Experience with working within a healthcare OR medical record environment, including but not limited to Protected Health Information (PHI) OR Health Information Management (HIM)

Soft Skills:

• Data entry experience and ability to handle heavy data entry requests daily
• Steady work ethic and punctuality
• Excellent communication skills: written and verbal communication.
• Versatile – ability to adapt to many situations regarding the ad – hoc environment
• Strong problem – solving and critical thinking skills
• Computer savvy
• Ability to handle data that is available, and within given turnaround times

Physical and Work Environment:

• Frequent sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
• Utilize multiple PC applications throughout the day
