The University for the Creative Arts is seeking to appoint experienced and well- qualified pre-sessional EAP tutors to teach on our 15-week, 10-week, and 6-week Art and Design or Business pre-sessional courses, which will be taught online. Tutors will provide approximately 18 hours of contact time per week, comprising both taught lessons and individual tutorials, in classes of no more than 18 students. In addition, they will attend weekly meetings online, fully participate in moderation and standardisation, mark formative and summative assessments and undertake other administrative duties as necessary.
Successful applicants will demonstrate outstanding teaching skills and also show how they have developed these skills to deliver content effectively online. They will ideally have experience in working on UK pre-sessional courses and have experience of teaching English for Art and Design or Business English.
They must be able to manage their time effectively, taking into account planning and preparation, and be prepared to approach project briefs creatively, cooperatively and with flexibility. They will continually seek to provide high-quality online instruction of the language, knowledge, skills and educational values required for study at degree level. They will also promote learner autonomy and individual research through tutorials.

Tutors will need to have a good quality laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, a headset (recommended) or speakers and a microphone, and a fast internet connection (10 Mbps minimum).
Course Dates:
Course dates include a one-week induction prior to the start of the course.
Contracts are offered on a fixed term basis for the dates given above.
