Head of Online Education
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Directorate of Academic Services & Online Education as Head of Online Education. Over the past five years, the University has significantly grown its fully online portfolio of courses and programmes and online education is now an increasingly important part of the University’s teaching portfolio.
Reporting to the Director of Academic Services and Online Education, the successful candidate will provide leadership, working closely with the Vice-Principal (Global Engagement), to ensure the continued strategic growth of online provision in line with recruitment targets. In addition, the post holder will also provide leadership for the University’s work to respond to the upskilling agenda, working closely with the Vice-Principal (Regional Engagement).
Within the Directorate of Academic Services & Online Education, the Head of Online Education will provide overall leadership of the Online Education team and will serve as a member of the Directorate Management Group working closely with other senior colleagues to ensure the strategic leadership and management of the Directorate.
This post is aimed at individuals who are able to demonstrate significant experience and understanding of the online education market, and the upskilling agenda with ideally a track record of working in higher education. Experience of leading a team will be critical along with a demonstrable track record of delivery of projects on time and to a high standard. A strong and demonstrable partnership approach to working both internally and externally will be vital.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8, £54,949 – £61,823 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
