Six Month Fixed-Term Assignment
The University piloted the Summer Start programme in 2021 and it is now an established part of Kōkiri Raumati | Summer Programmes to welcome new students.
Summer Start is a six-week programme giving eligible school-leavers the opportunity to gain credits towards their degree, give them a boost to their current preparation and provide wrap-around academic and pastoral support with a comprehensive co-curricular programme enabling them to make new friends and make a positive start to their University journey.
Summer Start is aimed at increasing students’ preparedness for, and success from, their tertiary study. If students are planning to study with the University of Auckland, they can get a head start on their studies by joining us for Summer Start.
We are currently seeking applications for a Summer Start – Student Experience Advisor. This position is an exciting opportunity to build on the pilot and to contribute to the development and implementation of the Summer Start programme.
The Student Experience Advisor is a key member of the Summer Start team and helps provide opportunities and access to services that engage, develop and support students through the student lifecycle and improve the student experience.

This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 5-6 months. The salary range for this role is $54,700 – $68,200 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
