An opportunity has arisen for a Student Casework Officer to work in Academic Registry. You will play an important role in implementing the University’s procedures relating to student conduct, complaints and appeals, including providing professional advice and support to staff and students in a diplomatic and sensitive manner. This role will be located in the newly expanded Student Casework Team within Academic Registry and will involve some supervision of team members.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience of administering student-facing procedures in a higher education environment. You will be adept at building relationships and communicating effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders. Educated to degree level or equivalent experiential learning, plus GCSE Maths and English Language, you must have the ability to work flexibly under pressure, to assimilate and present complex information clearly and succinctly, and to exercise judgement and initiative in sensitive situations. A high degree of personal resilience and a positive approach are essential for this role.
