The Academic and Professional Programmes (APP) department at the University of Chester is seeking to appoint Visiting Lecturers in Education for the 2022-23 academic session. The APP department teaches over 300 Undergraduate students and 600 Postgraduate Education students at level 7.
Visiting lecturers are required to support the marking of students work in the following subjects and levels from January 2023:
Postgraduate:
- Educational Leadership
- Special Educational Needs and Disability
- Trauma and Mental Health
Undergraduate:
- Introduction to the Primary Curriculum
Or any combination of these subject areas.
Successful candidates must have experience with these areas and a knowledge of underpinning research. Candidates will be expected to mark 2 assignments per hour and mark between 25-90 assignments within a 3 week period (to be negotiated with respective candidates). Applicants will be considered for appointment by our VL Panel and will typically be qualified to Master’s level (and hold a NASENCo award for the marking of SEND assignments). Experience of teaching and assessment is essential.
The next marking period starts in week beginning 2nd January 2023.
