The appointment will be made for a nine-month position only.Position SummaryThe individual will be responsible for teaching introductory, higher levelundergraduate, and possibly graduate level electrical and computerengineering courses. Duties include teaching six courses in quarter-basedsystem per year, advising students, and participating in department anduniversity service. This position does not require research. The successfulapplicant will have a passion for teaching and a demonstrated ability toeffectively teach undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineering courses.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesA passion for teaching and a demonstrated ability to teach undergraduateElectrical and Computer Engineering courses with above-average studentevaluations.Required QualificationsPhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, orrelated disciplines is required by time of appointment.Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses.Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years of previous experience teaching undergraduate courses.Experience in teaching two or more of the following topics: DigitalDesign, MatLab, Instrumentation and Data Acquisition, and Digital SignalProcessing.Online teaching experience.Application DeadlineApplications will continue to be reviewed until the position is filled.Special InstructionsCandidates must apply online through jobs.du.edu to be considered.
