We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Tutor in English for Academic Purposes within our English for International Students unit, to support staff in the delivery of English Language teaching programmes as part of the Dundee International Institute (DII), based in Changsha, China. The successful postholder will spend a minimum of two semesters working in China and be based in Dundee for the remainder of the year.
Working as part of a team teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate international students from a variety of backgrounds embarking on degree programmes in a wide range of disciplines, the post holder will teach general language points in addition to specifically academic applications of the language. Staff may be required to provide pastoral support to students requiring it, uphold the university’s policy on data security and undertake other additional duties from time to time as necessary. Please note that the successful applicants will be working in China for a minimum of two semesters. However, there is flexibility with regard to time spent in Dundee. Successful candidates may choose to spend the full year in China at the DII.
Successful candidates will be required to adhere to Chinese work visa requirements as part of the role.
