University of Florida Hiring for Data Entry Processor – Gainesville Job at Gainesville, FL Full Time

The University of Florida (UF) Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) Extension Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and is aimed at helping low-income families and youth acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and changed behaviors necessary to improve their diets.

This position will work with program evaluation data and reporting data collected by the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). Processor will quality check submitted evaluation tools and enter data into a web-based reporting system (WebNEERS). This position will assist in identifying errors in WebNEERs, documenting errors, and tracking corrections for accurate reporting.

Enter EFNEP participant data into WebNEERS, an online reporting system. Data for WebNEERS includes participant demographics, 24-hour food recalls, adult evaluation and youth behavior checklist at entry and exit for program participants, among other data. Incumbent will be expected to enter approximately 12,800 pieces of data into WebNEERS each year.

Review program data for accuracy. There are two main types of data review. First, WebNEERS data review includes accuracy checks and resolution of errors in consultation with the data manager and program coordinator. Maintain the data log and keep records of findings from the packets submitted and record data entry status. Provides updates on status of data entry to the data manager and program coordinator. Organize the data packets per county before and after entering the data into WebNEERS. Maintain files, assist with answering questions, and provide clarification regarding data questions. Second, review data associated with monthly reporting (i.e., the master spreadsheet), such as travel. Provide support and work collaboratively with the administrative specialist, and other state team members as appropriate and assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent and six months of clerical or customer-service experience as well as the ability to keyboard or type 45 accurate words per minute.

This is a time-limited, grant funded position. Almost 100% of the work is performed on a computer. This position may be approved for a permanent remote work location or a hybrid work schedule between home and office. Those outside of Gainesville are encouraged to apply.

The EFNEP state office is located at UF’s East Campus on Waldo Road in Gainesville, FL. The position has flexibility to permanently work from home but must be able to visit the office for in-person meetings as requested by the supervisor. It is preferred that they are local to or able to relocate to North Central Florida.
