Job Description:

Participates in the Annual Flower Program to include periodic flower change outs in landscape beds, urns and planters, flower towers, and other annual flower locations. Routine maintenance of color locations to include weed control, fertility, pest scouting, and soil level maintenance. Assists with indoor plant maintenance duties.

Participates in plant nursery operations including plant propagation, fertility, watering, weed control and receiving of stock.

Assists with maintenance of high profile landscape beds such as Campus Entrance Marquees and Campus Gateways.

Operates State Vehicles which may include pick-up trucks, heavy-duty utility vehicles or golf carts.

Performs other related work as assigned.

Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

This position requires a criminal background check and post offer Health Assessment and Hearing Evaluation.

Employee must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License.

Expected Salary:

$15.00-$16.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of the 9th Grade Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of annual flowers and their use and maintenance

Plant propagation experience

Basic landscape maintenance knowledge

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
