Fixed Term appointments for 12 months, Full Time & Part Time (0.8 FTE)
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed, and experienced professional to contribute to our highly successful and growing undergraduate and postgraduate primary initial teacher education programmes.
The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher with a passion for and commitment to the development of the next generation of teachers. They will be able to model outstanding practice and use their experience to inform and guide trainees to become excellent practitioners. The ability to liaise with colleagues in schools and a range of institutions will be an essential requirement to enhance consistency, share good practice and support the continuing success of the provision.
A higher degree and a teaching qualification with QTS are essential. The ability to take responsibility for leading training in English and/or Art is desirable, alongside the ability to teach across the primary teacher education curriculum. You will be willing to travel on a regular basis to support trainee teachers on placement in our partnership schools.
We provide an exciting, stimulating place to learn and work. Our standards of academic achievement are high, our environment is inspiring, and we embrace innovation in all that we do. With exceptional opportunities for staff development, our students are not the only ones who thrive here.
This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months, however, as the post is linked to a maternity absence the end date is subject to change.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
If you are currently registered as a student at the University, please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
