Grade 5 (£24,285-£27,929 p.a. pro rata, depending on experience)
This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Do you want to support students to get the most out of their studies at Leeds? Are you familiar with the challenges facing a diverse group of learners? Are you confident in using technology to enhance learning?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) is a multi-disciplinary centre working with a diverse group of students especially where this enables participation of people from groups that are under-represented in higher education. We have a broad range of programmes including full-time and part-time undergraduate programmes, apprenticeships and foundation-years. We have a particular emphasis on widening participation both with mature and young learners.
Partnership is an essential aspect of teaching and learning at the Lifelong Learning Centre. These roles will play a key role in building relationships with students and developing their sense of belonging at Leeds. Working alongside programme teams and personal tutors, you will work proactively and reactively to support the academic development of our students. You will work with individual and small groups of students to help them understand expectations, develop confidence, enhance their digital skills and navigate university systems and processes. You will work within defined professional boundaries and refer students to support and academic skills services where necessary to ensure that they receive the most appropriate support and advice.
