There is an exciting new opportunity for a Student Conduct and Investigations Officer to join the Secretariat team at the University of Lincoln.

The role-holder will be responsible for undertaking investigations into allegations of student misconduct (in accordance with the relevant regulations) and progressing cases to the conclusion of the process in a timely manner. They will play a pivotal role in working closely with relevant colleagues across the University to plan and advance proactive activities (i.e. awareness campaigns, training for staff, training for students) to ensure that campuses are a safe environment for our students, staff and visitors, that our student misconduct reporting processes are clear and accessible, and that our wider associated practices remain up to date and in line with the expectations of the Office for Students and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.

In supporting the work of the Secretariat team, the Student Conduct and Investigations Officer will be responsible for providing a professional officering service to a small number of senior University committees and supporting Governance Officers with other student contention casework during peak periods.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in conducting investigations and assessing the facts within issues of dispute, and a genuine commitment to the highest possible professional standards, compliance with process, confidentiality and integrity. They will have the ability to form excellent relationships with colleagues and be both trusted and respected by students, as well as being able to deal with complex problems without direct supervision.
