Summary

The University of Michigan has an available position of Full-Stack Software Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI.

Responsibilities*

• Develop web-based applications & related infrastructure for the deposit, curation, analysis, & dissemination of political & social science data.
• On the user-facing parts that appear in a browser, use front-end technologies including hypertext markup language (html), cascading style sheets (css), java server pages (jsp), JavaScript, & the ReactJS framework for building reusable components.
• On the server-side, use Java programming language, Spring Boot, & Spring Framework to develop microservices.
• Design schemas & write queries for relational database systems. Use ML to improve the efficiency of the data curation process & develop related applications in Python.

Required Qualifications*

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

6 60 months experience as an Application Developer &/or Java Developer &/or Full-Stack Software Engineer. Position also requires: Exp. must include:

• 48 mos. exp. programming in Java;
• 24 mos. exp. using Spring Framework &/or Spring Boot;
• 24 mos. exp. using ReactJS;
• 24 mos. exp. developing Machine Learning (ML) applications using Python; and
• 36 mos. exp. designing schemas & writing queries for relational databases.

Experience requirements may be met concurrently during the same time period.
