We have an exciting opportunity in the Careers Service for someone with a passion for inspiring and supporting young people to achieve their potential through access to impartial information, advice and guidance.
You will be a qualified careers professional (or currently working towards this) with experience of working with young people from a variety of backgrounds. You will be an excellent communicator at all levels and thrive on building and maintaining partnerships across schools and colleges in the region.
This is a unique opportunity to support the most disadvantaged young people in England to progress into higher education through the South Yorkshire Uni Connect programme, HeppSY. You will work within a team to inspire and support young people to achieve their potential by making informed choices about the benefits of choosing to continue into higher education. The role is based within the Careers Service and at HeppSY, as well as travelling regularly across South Yorkshire to deliver support to students in schools and colleges targeted by the programme.
We are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
