Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas Arlington ( UTA ) invites applications for two non-tenure-track ( NTT ) faculty positions beginning the Fall 2021 Semester. The NTT faculty positions are full-time, one-year visiting positions at the rank of lecturer. Teaching excellence is expected for the position. Salary and rank will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the full-time NTT faculty will include teaching undergraduate mathematics service courses and working closely with the Learning Resource Center in the Department of Mathematics.

Required Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for lecturers are an earned MS or MA in mathematics or statistics. While outstanding applicants from all mathematical areas will be considered, preference for the position will be given to those with significant experience in or strong commitment to undergraduate mathematics teaching, student engagement, and mentoring. Special consideration will be given to those with experience teaching remedial and entry-level mathematics.
