2 Posts (Fixed Term, up to 2 years) 0.6 FTE (21-hour posts), Paisley campus based with travel to other campus as required

Through external funding and to ensure that the Counselling Service is able to meet the needs of its service users, we are seeking to increase our provision of student counsellors and wellbeing advisers on a fixed term basis.

Therefore, applicants are sought from qualified counsellors to work part time (1 post, 0.6 FTE – 21 hours) across our Paisley and Ayr campuses and qualified counsellors to work part time (1 post,0.6 FTE 21 hours per week) across our Lanarkshire and Paisley campuses.

Working as a member of the University’s Counselling team you will provide a professional counselling service to students. You will also contribute to the work of the Counselling team in the wider university to promote the mental wellbeing of the whole student population. This will include further developing wellbeing within curriculum design and delivery with a particular focus on interventions that would both prevent or support students experiencing gender-based violence.

Educated to degree level, you will have a post graduate diploma, or equivalent, in Counselling / CBT (or similar) and have significant experience working in a counselling, educational or similar capacity. Experience of working in Higher Education is desirable.

The working pattern can be negotiable.
