Research Assistant in Education (24 month FTC)

£27,116 – £30,497 per annum

We are now looking for a Research Assistant in Education to join the Institute of Education and Humanities (IEH) at our Swansea campus on a full-time, fixed-term contract, working 37 hours per week.

– THE ROLE –

As a Research Assistant in Education, you will assist with the development, organisation and research of both existing and future projects within the Centre for Education.

Working alongside a number of academic staff, you will support the identification and development of new research ideas and proposals for independent or collaborative research projects.

In addition, you will help with the preparation of grants and funding proposals and applications to Welsh Government and other external funding agencies and ensure we are able to deliver and develop projects and proposals linked to additional sources of funding and award.

– ABOUT YOU –

To be considered as a Research Assistant in Education, you will need:

• Knowledge of, and experience with, education related research proposals, funding bids and project management
• Experience of working on, and possibly completing, at least some of the following: feasibility studies, project bids, funding requests, research reports and various strategic documents
• Research interests in one or more of the following: educational pedagogy, applied research, curriculum, progression, Early Years, languages, literacy and communication, and social justice and wellbeing
• Knowledge and experience of working with external bodies and agencies including Welsh Government
• A good Honours undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
