Warwick Foundation Studies is seeking an experienced and dynamic academic leader to join our expanding team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the programmes the department delivers are innovative, high-quality and strategically aligned; driving to the enhancement of existing programmes and the development of new. The post-holder will form part of the department’s Senior Leadership Team, working collaboratively to meet the department’s ambitious growth plans.
Warwick Foundation Studies is responsible for the delivery of the Warwick International Foundation Programme, the suite of Pre-Sessional English Programmes, In-Sessional English provision and the Warwick Summer School programmes. Our expanding offer also extends to the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of study for international partners.
The successful appointee will be encouraged to develop themselves both personally and professionally through access to a wide range of departmentally and institutionally delivered development opportunities. The post-holder will be expected to engage with peers across the sector and remain up-to-date with matters relevant to the role and wider department. Participation in relevant conferences, both in the UK and overseas, will be expected.

Job Description
To lead on the development and implementation of a range of strategies to ensure that all programmes within the department are of a high quality, are fit for purpose, keeping pace with relevant sector and subject pedagogical developments and offer an outstanding learning experience, enabling students to achieve against demanding academic standards.
This senior post leads, manages and co-ordinates the department’s learning and teaching strategies and provision (including academic governance, quality assurance & enhancement and policy implementation) and is responsible for the strategic development of new programmes of study as agreed by the Academic Director and in consultation with a range of senior colleagues and stakeholders.
